About Strathbogie Ranges Community Foundation
The Strathbogie Ranges Community Foundation (SRCF) has been established to create lasting, positive change for communities across the Strathbogie Shire by strengthening social, educational, health, and economic wellbeing.
Built on a community-led model, the Foundation is designed to deliver sustainable impact and enhance local resilience in the aftermath of prolonged drought, bushfires, COVID-19, and flooding.
About Strathbogie Ranges and Surrounds
The Strathbogie Ranges sit in the heart of north-east Victoria, a distinctive granite plateau surrounded by rolling farmland, native forest, and vibrant rural townships. Rising between 600–1,300 metres, the Ranges create a unique landscape of ancient boulders, cool-climate valleys, rich biodiversity, and crystal-clear waterways such as Seven Creeks and Hughes Creek. Just under two hours from Melbourne, the Strathbogie Ranges offer a peaceful,
creative and environmentally conscious lifestyle, supported by passionate locals and thriving grassroots initiatives.
The surrounding townships are Euroa, Nagambie, Strathbogie, Violet Town, Avenel, Ruffy, Longwood, Boho, Terip Terip and Kelvin View. Each community contributes its own character—arts, agriculture, nature conservation, and family-friendly lifestyles—all connected by a shared identity rooted in the land.
